A fifth!

My word counter has just popped over the 20% mark - hurrah! A fifth of the novel written. Already! And boy, does it feel good!

That's all I wanted to say!

Huge congratulations from a fellow novel racer. In my (admittedly small) experience, it gets easier once a good chunk is done.

That's fantasic. Well done on your word count.

I loved the longing for Spain posting. It makes me realise my time is probably limited here in Bangkok. Just as coming here is a challenge, I guess going back to the UK is a challenge too.

zinnia - I must admit I do feel much more confident about the whole project now that I've got part ways in! Thank you!

jj - It is a challenge, moving abroad, under any circumstances; all that time it takes to find your feet, to settle, meet people (not to mention get to grips with the local food, customs...) etc., but it is equally hard coming back. I hadn't wanted to, which made it all the worse. I cried for a month solid - broke my heart. But it has been a good thing in the end. Lots more rebuilding, re-adjusting but an adventure nonetheless! It also gives us lots of experience to draw on in our writing ha ha!

WTG. I have a big smile on my face for you. Happy dance.

The whole moving thing is tough. I have now done more than most. It's funny we have been back here almost three years and I am looking to set off again probably becuase I know that London isn't permamnet for us........

Thanks Lucy! Actually quite frustrated at the moment as teaching means I can't do any writing at the end of the week - argh! Just want to keep cracking on with it now that I finally know where I'm going with it!
