5 things...
what are good and not so good - to steal Mr Mayhew's format (hope you don't mind Jon but too ill to think straight at the moment, let alone be all inventive and original)...
Not so good things in no particular order:
1. CT scan next week - scary!
2. Operation 5 days before Christmas - even scarier!
3. Christmas is coming and I can't do a thing about it.
4. We can't find a Nintendo Wii anywhere (at normal price from normal shop) - boo hoo!
5. Still sick - haven't written a bloody thing - have not left house in ages unless to go to doctor and/or hospital - am in limbo!
And on a brighter note...
1. The dishwasher is fixed - hurrah!
2. I'm reading loads.
3. Husband and children are healthy.
4. It's nearly Christmas.
5. Soon I will be better.
Hope everyone is well out there in yonder ether world...

Lisa - just wanted to say that the urinary thingy is apsolutely painless while in and apsolutely painless - promise you won't even feel it - when taken out. I am the biggest coward in the world - honest and I was fine.
Good luck, enjoy the rest and finish novel in 2008.
The five brighter things waaay outdo the not so good ones.
Health comes first. Try not to worry about any of the rest. Will be thinking of you and waiting to hear all the details when you're up on your feet again.
Take care xx
fiona - thank you! The last one was during labour and in an emergency so probably hurt due to the rush - they'll have more time in more controlled conditions we hope!
lane - oh yes - details to follow for sure!!!
Thanks for your comments - they mean a lot, especially as I can't get out of the house (or off the sofa even some days!). Am looking forward to a new me in the New Year!
Yes, concentrate on the positives, they easily outweigh the negatives (which are only temporary in any case...)
Look after yourself and look forward to feeling much better very shortly.
Positive vibes going out from EHU, Lisa - not that I believe any of that bollocks of course, but you know what I mean. Best wishes from all of us, and just keep bugggering on, as Sir Winston Churchill was wont to say.
anon - many thanks - will be positive positive positive all the way! Although hope tests are negative ha ha!
Rob - this brought a smile to my face, which can only be a good thing at this juncture! Am feeling braver - or is that resigned? - and looking forward to getting back to work.
Just popped by to say hope you're all better soon.
I'm going into hospital just before Christmas for an Echocardiogram-I'll get the results between Christmas and New Year.
Not a good time to be unwell.
All the best.
If is possible add the CresceNet(www.provedorcrescenet.com) in your blogroll, I thank. Good bye friend.

Note: It's a comment asking me to list his ad for internet providor CresceNet, and I just told him (in Spanish cos I can't write in Portuguese!) that I er, don't put ads on my blog unless they are friends of mine. So there you go!
Plus - Brazil?! Anyone out there living in Brazil might be interested but I have enough trouble trying to de-code BT's instructions for Broadband - in English!!!
