fiona - that was such a sad book! try Mr God this is Anna - now that is devastating at any age! Waterstones with a helpline - that's too funny. I can just imagine it.

hesitant scribe said...: True Vanilla, it does, and I'm not knocking the very real upset that a book can cause... but it also goes to show just how shielded from death our kids are (and us adults!). And besides, I thought childline was for proper problems like being abused, beaten, bullied to the point of having a nervous breakdown... there was no childline when I was a kid.

And besides - why are kids calling childline for HP? Where are their parents? My kids would come to me and talk it over if they were upset. I thought you only called childline because you couldn't talk to your parents... ?; 22 July, 2007 08:32
